Lets Plan a Party, I am getting electrifying thinking about it, this will be an entertaining packed party. Something like being on a cruise ship with substance for everyone. You will notice that I am coming up with many wild and fun opinions. My experience is a Catering Manager for Disneyland and this is my forte, So sit back and leap on this ride, this is an E ticket to diversion.
Planning an event can be burdensome during these adverse times. I am going to chose a theme, This is going to be a Christmas party, or actually any holiday party, Easter, Birthday, Forth of July, or just to have a great family reunion. First, you must decide your budget. But, first you need to know what your up against so do your research. Next, is this party going to be for just business, family or friends. I would advise all three at one party. Don’t worry about giving gifts, the gift is your celebration. Remember one important point throghtout this article, KEEP IT GREEN!
Depending on your home, as well as the size and locations, where do you want to have your party. On the west coast you can have a party at home, days are consistently nice, however the tempature does drop at night. So if you are assessing about a tent, get the kind of tent where all the sides go down to the ground. If this is something you want to do, you should favorable arrange your tent here and now. This time of the year tents and event rentals cost about the same. Surf the Internet, find out how much a tent will cost, add the inside standing heater, and the amount of guest and price out your tent and supples.
You could decorate the inside of your tent.
Pull up the event rental order list on the web, so you can see all the different features they carry. They have all the banquet tables and chairs, portable bar, to name just a few. So consent to break this down? You are going to invite fifty people, if it is a Christmas party I would highly caution you also invite their kids.
Have your party in late afternoon until a budding, smoothing, early evening party, the children get fatigued and this way your loved ones aren’t on the roads late in the darkness. assemble with your family members and determine if you want to cook your own food, conceivably a turkey, ham, assortments of salads, select items that will last on a buffet table and also can last all along the flow of the party. I would advise hiring a person to work the buffet table, keeping it clean and contemporary and keep the meats dispensed.
If you embrace a caterer coming, this time of the year it will be costly. Whatever you determine, needs to be planned fast, these holiday businesses get booked fast. Try to find current fresh flowers if you can for your tables, feasibly just poinsettias and Holly. You will not need to many tables if meal is spread out over a period of time if meal is spread out over a period of time.
Setting up for a holiday party.
For this feature article we are doing most of this ourselves to conserve on cost, you need to reflect to stay on budget, take notes on what and how and where you are going to do your party. You will need to order two long banquet tables for the buffet table. Also the linen to cover the tables, red and green would be nice. recall we are basing this assumption on fifty guest coming with children.
You will need one long banquet table for the bar unless you want to order the portable bar, you should also think about hiring someone to work the bar. Keep large trash bin or tall boxes, with plastic trash bags all over the zone, the more the better. Make the bartender keep up on making sure that they are empty and add new fresh trash bags.
The best way to do this is to use non brakable holiday dishes and glasses. These can efficiently be thrown away and makes life a bit easier on you during the party. Hire another person to walk around the house keeping thoroughness, picking up, glasses, dishes, etc. You can use the tent or if in colder weather your basement is a great location.
You will need to order round tables of ten people each, don’t use candles as center-pieces for the children might start, running around, better safe then sorry. Began now, creating and making your decorations and include the family, Centerpieces, decorations for the tent, lots of holiday cheer. Go to your local hobby store for decorating ideas or look at Christmas magazines for more ideas.
Holiday Christmas Decorations.
you begin here and now, the holiday’s will not dawn to fast, everyone knows you are having a party, you stress out trying to get it all done. Not fun, not fun at all, right? Now you need to make this a hallmark party, not some ho hum family occurrence. first, order some cardboard picture holders and have your family’s name engraved along with the year. You will need Santa Claus for this, so rent that suit early, or hire a Santa, get yourself a big chair, the bigger the better. Take Polaroid or digital camera pictures of everyone with Santa, place the picture in the picture frame holder and now they have a great memory of coming to your house in 2009.holder and now they have a great memory of coming to your house in 2009.
Take Everyone’s picture with Santa Claus.
You could get a two black-jack tables in the living room and hire the dealers, This would also be a great idea for the adults to have fun and take their thought off of everyday worry. Some of the people might want to watch some football as well, have the Black Jack Tables in the same room as the television.
Determine about each age group, the holidays are for everyone to share, the small tots, you can get one of those blow-up air bags full of balls, and the little one will jump and fall and laugh with each other. The best part of this is, it will make them so tired. When their parents take them home, they quickly surrender into bed.
Look for a perfect area for the kids to play, add in your invitation, for all the kids to make a home made ornament to hang on your tree, when they arrive they will be so excited to attach it on the tree, kids love to share something they made. additionally, have all the kids get together to hold a whimsical drama, have a few of the older kids be in charge, and every child could play a roll, perhaps the three wise men. Kids love to show off for adults and they love to dress up in homemade costumes, what a show stopper this would be, your guest will have a blast.
You can also gather everyone at the party during a "calm" and go around your neighborhood and sing Christmas Carols. You can make a small computer book of songs and pass them to everyone so they remember the words. How fun would that be and oh, what a memory.
Don’t make your buffet a timed event, maybe a two hour span where everyone can come and go and eat when they feel like it. consider ordering a Christmas Cake from a real cake baker, I ordered a four level cake one year and it was the hit of the party, it had Mr. & Mrs Santa on top, and elf’s and presents, and toys. It was the most colossal cake I ever saw. You can use this as your centerpiece on your buffet table. Finally, when the meal is cleared, all that remains is the "cake"
.Christmas cakes, awards go to "Ace of Cakes", yummy. Ace of Cakes Awarded First and Best...
Dim the lights and play some music, let everyone dance. This is the best part, the warmheartedness connectedly unites the group, husbands and wives, friends and kids, and the tots love to dance. This will become a special occurrence and memory. You can even get one of those old fashion turning balls and hang it in the center of the tent. If all you have is grass, you can order a small dance floor that will not cost you that much.
Some food for thought, or thoughts for food in my case…invite someone that you know whom will be alone during the holidays, invite a few seniors that have no family. To be candid I have to empower myself to cease writing this article, I could just keep writing about so many ideas and fun party planning. But, I must close for now and wish you all a blessed and safe holiday season.

Yes, I did do larger style parties, but this idea can be used for all sizes, add or remove some of the ideas. But this theme can be used for any party throughout the year, large or small. Also, the buffet should be a come and go type style, that is why it is important to have a person at the buffet table to keep it replenished and clean. Everyone should enjoy eating during a timed span of about two hours, this way the staff can clean up and leave, this will save you money. For the smaller children, I agree on games, but you might want to have a fun person hired as a nanny to keep the children involved in having fun. Everyone else will be so busy, this might help solve that problem. I can't figure out how to go back in and edit once I published it. I have a empty space in a square where I lost a picture. I can't seem to get it back in or to clean up that area. Lot's to learn writing a blog, and boy I am having the time of my life. I enjoy this and once I get a little organized I want to go around to all our group and see what they have written and make my comments. Thank you for you great suggestions, and I will figure out how to edit.

Darlene,
I love your food for thoughts, that was very thoughtful. I think I will take up your advice on that this year. As for your post, it seems you went into a lot of "larger" style parties...What about those who have small families? What about some games like secret santa type deal of some sort? If I had the money and large enough group of friends and family I would definetly take up your advice ;). I love the fact that you talked about polaroid cameras, I haven't seen one of those in ages lol. I was confused aboutt his one line though, you may want to edit this. You say no time on buffet but 2 hour span, are you talking the party only be 2 hours or just the buffet?
