The second decade of this new millennium is on the horizon!  Is life better now than it was 10 years ago when it was predicted that planes would fall out of the sky and all communication systems would go into meltdown?    Well that didn’t happen, did it?  But there have been many other calamities both natural and man-made that have afflicted populations across the world…. And there will probably be more.  Is life worse as a result of this?  Undoubtedly so, for the souls who have suffered loss of everything and are having to rebuild their lives from scratch.  But for the many millions who are moving on with their lives, taking the changes and development of new technologies in their stride, this next ten years is going to surpass everything that has gone before by countless leagues.

Is Globalization bad for your health? The study of Globalization and the affects of it have been broken down into smaller areas such as health, economics, politics, environmental and social/cultural issues. All of them are interwoven and dependent upon each other. And as with everything, Globalization in these areas has positives and negatives.

Blog-Off II Entry: Is TMI (too much information) causing you to overload?

Question: How much information does the average mind consume in a given day?  Answer: 34 gigabytes. According to a University of California-San Diego study mentioned in The New York Times, the average American consumes 34 GB of content every day, including a whopping 100,000 words of information.

Of course, we are not fully aware of the 100,000 words per day necessarily, but that rather astounding figure does cross our eyes and ears within each 24-hour interval via multiple channels: the Web, TV, text messaging, email, radio, video games and more.

In all, we spend about 11.8 hours per day absorbing mass quantities of information, sometimes multitasking in front of multiple screens simultaneously.  It’s nothing short of an attack.  For many, just keeping up with the daily onslaught of email is a challenge.  In fact, experts have estimated that e-mail adds an extra 1.23 hours to each day. This is no different if you are a student, employee, business owner, high level executive, or housewife.   We all face a constant barrage of communication and a significant portion of it comes to us disguised as friendly email.

Everyone knows it. The money is in the list. The problem is never knowing what to do - it's knowing how to do it. Although email list building is a huge area and covers a broad range of topics, there are a few things you can do today to start building your list.

Here are 5 Tips to Quickly Build An Email Database of 1,000+ Leads:

#1. Give Something Away

You've probably heard the saying before that, "givers gain."  Well that saying is 100% true when it comes to building your list. The best thing you can do to generate leads is by giving something away.  When I say give something away, I'm referring to a free electronic report, an ebook, a video series or whatever is easiest for you to create.

You see what you're really doing here is an exchange.  Your giving your ideal prospect valuable information in exchange for their email.   Do this often and frequent enough and you'll start to quickly build your first 1,000+ leads.  This is the same formula I used to build an email database of 2,400 people over the course of a year.

The inequality in hospice facilities is great when you compare our country with other countries. I recently had a conversation with a friend about end of life care in her native country of Macedonia. Throughout her childhood, Macedonian's traditionally cared for their own. The elderly and others at end of life always stayed in their own homes with family by their sides during their final days. There was little consideration given to alternative care since the majority of homes were multi-generational and extended families typically lived under one big roof.
